A főszerkesztője, Charles Richmond kapta a furcsa videót, ami egy bukaresti fiatalokból álló, titokzatos bandáról szól, amelynek tagjai - úgy tűnik - zombivá változnak a bandavezér, Winter és egy másik bandatag, Marla közreműködésével. A banda öngyilkosságra veszi rá a tagjait azzal a céllal, hogy ezáltal feltámassza a halottakat. Charles Amyt bízza meg a történet megírásával. Amy elfogadja a feladatot, de amikor Romániába érkezik, holtan találja Marlát, egy rejtélyes kockával a kezében.
